About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SOC Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security and be able to provide technical and functional support to our L1 Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing analytical feedback to the L1 Team.
  • Investigating incidents, collecting evidence, diagnosing, recovering within defined SLA, and closing incidents.
  • Understanding information security policies and best practices in our environments.
  • Informing management on proactive and reactive actions to ensure adherence to security policy.
  • Reviewing and understanding collected metrics from monitoring systems and being aware of patterns and anomalies.
  • Performing incident response, eliminating threats to the network, determining cause, and preserving evidence for further analysis.
  • Ensuring incidents are handled consistently with established playbooks.
  • Monitoring SIEM and logging for alerts of potential network threats, intrusions, and/or compromises.
  • Understanding the global threat environment and general security best practices.
  • Assisting with triage of service requests from automated sensors and internal requests for assistance.
  • Participating in active cyber hunting to identify and eliminate known and unknown network threats.
  • Interfacing with technical personnel from various disciplines to rapidly resolve critical issues.
  • Informing and advising leadership of incidents and proposing effective response and/or countermeasures for containment.
