Position: Network Engineer L1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Network Devices: Identify issues and report alerts in a timely manner.
  • Work on Raised Tickets/Alerts:
    • Identify faults, assign severity, follow troubleshooting procedures, and ensure timely closure of tickets/alerts.
  • Handle Fault Management with Service Providers:
    • Initiate trouble tickets, follow up until resolution, and escalate if required.
  • Coordinate with L2 Engineers:
    • Resolve issues through collaboration with L2 engineers for change management.
  • Perform Network-Related Changes:
    • Make necessary changes on network devices according to role and accessibility defined in SOP.
  • Prepare Reports:
    • Generate branch down call reports, bandwidth utilization reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Monitor Network Infrastructure:
    • Manage devices, links, and other network assets to ensure optimal performance.
  • Escalation Support:
    • Provide support for unresolved L1 (Zonal Engineers) issues by escalating to L2/L3 engineers.
  • Receive Calls:
    • Respond to calls from branches, raise new tickets, and share ticket numbers as needed.
  • Add New Devices:
    • Integrate new network devices into the system and record them in asset management.
  • Restore Network Uptime:
    • Collaborate with zonal offices and field teams to restore network connectivity.
  • Follow Up:
    • Ensure RMA replacements are processed efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

Postgraduate / Graduate / Diploma qualifications are mandatory. The following certifications are also required:

  • Valid CCNA/JNCIA/CCNP Routing and Switching/Security certification.
  • OEM valid intermediate-level SD-WAN certification.

Experience:

At least 3+ years of experience in handling network operations.
