Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Linux audio professional to join our team as a Senior Audio Engineer.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support customer projects for audio technology in the Qualcomm IoT ecosystem.
  • Gather requirement details for new projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions quickly.
  • Understand and design audio software architecture, including middleware (Gstreamer, Pulse Audio), HAL, and Flinger.
  • Develop and maintain Linux audio drivers and applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex audio-related issues and work closely with hardware and software teams to integrate audio solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers in best practices and advanced techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Linux audio technologies.
Requirements
  • 4-7 years of experience in Android audio framework/AudioReach/ALSA audio drivers/DSP.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Extensive experience with ALSA, PulseAudio, JACK, and other Linux audio frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with TinyALSA, ALSA, ASoC topology, and codec drivers.
  • Understanding of TDM/PCM/I2S/PDM/Slimbus/Soundwire audio hardware interfaces is an added advantage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field, and 3+ years of experience.
  • OR Master's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field, and 2+ years of experience.
  • OR PhD in engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field, and 1+ year of experience.
