Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading the development process and site reliability engineering practices to resolve issues and identify opportunity areas.

As the Senior Engineer, Product Development - Cloud Architecture, you will lead product development and site reliability engineering teams and establish and implement best practices and standards related to engineering processes through all phases of the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance and review on product design
  • Ensures that functional engineering domain expertise is deployed and integrated in an efficient and effective manner to meet project requirements and deliverables across all locations
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform
  • Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed
  • Direct experience in defining the service and integration requirements and deploying the same to support cloud applications to-be built with Micro Services Architecture (MSA)
  • Support and monitor platform modernization initiatives from legacy systems to new solutions and recommend solutions to improve existing systems
  • Provides leadership, vision, and strategy to ensure that the daily operations of the development teams align with the present and long-term goals of the business
  • Develops/enhances architectural design frameworks to ensure high quality information systems are delivered expeditiously and aligned with business objectives
  • Manages technically focused scrum teams potentially across multiple locations
  • Working with the team to define the SLI, SLO and SLA to support the software reliability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field required. Master's Degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of software development experience including substantial and complex whole life cycle software development management experience
  • 1+ years' experience in leading scrum teams, preferred
  • 8+ years' experience in software product development
  • Experience in leading technology direction preferred
Skills/Knowledge
  • Experience working in full life cycle of architecture projects i.e., discovery, design, development, and implementation
  • Experienced in both Monolithic and Microservices architecture
  • Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction
  • Proficiency in relevant build, deployment, automation, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker and proven leader/team player with incredibly strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passionate, customer-champion with proven success in producing innovative products, services and supporting processes directly focused on improvement of bottom line results
  • Proven skill in understanding market and technology trends, and customer needs and developing product strategy and aligning product plans built directly from customer input
  • Ability to determine clear prioritization and appropriate trade-offs regarding product roadmap candidates as well as resourcing and timing
  • Ability to lead, mentor and develop a talented team of high-performing individuals in a fast-paced environment directly and successfully
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; VersionOne, TFS, Jira experience a plus
  • Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile principles is must
  • Should have hands on experience Microsoft Technologies, Javascript based framework like Angular, SQL, NodeJS
  • Strong knowledge on implementing and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in Healthcare and Healthcare IT Industry is preferred
  • Experience with patient facing applications and systems and protecting patient information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is strongly preferred
  • Design Thinking and ability to establish and practice empathy is preferred
