Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Engineer to join our Intelligent Sensing Group at onsemi. As a key member of our Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for setting up and executing high-speed characterization on image sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of new products that meet cost/performance and development schedule demands.
  • Seek out new ideas and develop innovation and creativity throughout the team.
  • Create comprehensive plans for prioritizing technical and resourcing challenges.
  • Define product validation requirements by working with cross-functional teams, including Design, DFT, and Test Engineers.
  • Work with NPD teams to develop validation and test plans.
  • Perform annual appraisals with a focus on development and goals setting for team members.
  • Team-oriented with a can-do attitude, enthusiastic in solving challenging issues.
  • Must have confidence to act quickly and decisively when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years' relevant industry experience in bench validation or characterization.
  • Experience with leading teams, good communication skills, and delivering high-quality projects on time.
  • Previous work experience with CMOS image sensors is a plus.
  • Previous work on domains other than characterization/validation like board design, analog/digital design, verification is a plus.
  • Good understanding of silicon bring-up, production test flows, usage of lab equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.
  • Experience with programming languages (C, VB, Python).
  • Experience in validating high-speed devices.
  • Knowledge on MIPI, SERDES is a plus.
