Lead Data Strategist

Spearhead innovative data-driven solutions and shape the future of data science. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge analytics and AI/ML initiatives.

  • Strategic Leadership: Champion data science vision, drive innovation, and align with business objectives. Identify high-impact projects and prioritize accordingly.
  • Architecture Design: Design scalable and robust data platforms, evaluate technologies, and architect data solutions to support advanced analytics and AI/ML.
  • Model Development & Innovation: Lead model development, implement advanced statistical and machine learning models, and drive innovation by exploring new algorithms and techniques.
  • Data Exploration & Analysis: Lead data exploration efforts, identify key insights, and develop data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Mentorship & Team Leadership: Mentor junior data scientists, foster a culture of learning, and provide technical leadership on data science projects.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Research & Development: Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science, AI/ML, and related fields. Contribute to research and development efforts, exploring new methodologies and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Ph.D./Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong focus on data science and machine learning.
  • Experience: 12+ years of overall experience with minimum 8+ years in data science, with a proven track record of developing and deploying successful AI/ML solutions. Experience in a leadership or architectural role is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Statistical Modeling: Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms.
  • Descriptive & Inferential Statistics: Excellent skills in finding central tendency, variability, distribution, probability, discrete and continuous distributions, regression analysis, correlation techniques, density estimates, chi-square test, ANOVA technique, A/B testing, linear algebra, gradient calculus, N Gram analysis of texts, trend analysis of text inputs.
  • Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization tools & libraries, drawing inferences from data visualization.
  • MLOps Tools: Experience with MLOps tools and practices is a plus.
  • Dimensionality Reduction: Excellent knowledge of dimensionality reduction and feature extraction techniques like Principal Component Analysis, Singular Value Decomposition, and Linear Discriminant Analysis.
  • Generative AI: Excellent knowledge of Generative AI (Transformer Models and Generative Adversarial Networks). At least one project in Transformer Models for Natural Language Processing or Image/Video generation or Speech Recognition.
  • Prompt Engineering: Has worked on multiple Transformer Models for Natural Language Processing, Fine tuning and evaluating Large Language Models, Re-Inforcement Learning, and Large Language Models powered applications.

Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
