Technical Support Specialist

About the Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to fill a critical role in our IT department. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to end-users, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline technical support to users, resolving issues and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Take ownership of assigned incidents, problems, and service requests, ensuring timely acknowledgment, regular updates, and resolution within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain and manage problem tickets in line with the Problem Management process, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution tracking.
  • Ensure all technical guides, knowledge articles, and training materials are regularly updated and reflect the latest system functionality and processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with bespoke business applications and providing technical support.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training to stakeholders and end-users in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and determine root causes of recurring application issues.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceDesk Plus, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.
Qualifications
  • A relevant degree in Information Systems, Computing Studies, IT, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Support Specialist or similar role.
