Territory Sales Manager Position Overview

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and managing a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) to achieve targets.


The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Interacting with Bank branch employees and Cluster Heads to help them achieve sales targets and maintain persistency and productivity.
  • Managing a team of RMs mapped to your territory to ensure they meet their individual sales targets and overall team targets.
  • Maintaining good relationships with Bank cluster heads, providing guidance and support to employees, stakeholders on submissions, issuance, pending resolves, and other tasks.
  • Ensuring recruitment is conducted as per plans and aligning partner teams to work towards the same goals.
  • Monitoring RM performance to promote them to the next level and ensuring adequate customer service through grievance redressal, claim settlement, renewal, and other means.
  • Maintaining and driving compliance at the zone level, ensuring adherence to SOPs and sales processes, and instigating disciplinary action against those breaching them.

Key Result Areas:

  • Drive sales growth by interacting with Bank branch employees and Cluster Heads.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees, stakeholders on various tasks.
  • Maintain good relationships with Bank cluster heads and drive compliance.
  • Ensure recruitment is conducted as per plans and monitor RM performance.
  • Foster sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and sales processes.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of RMs. A successful Territory Sales Manager will be able to drive sales growth, maintain compliance, and provide excellent customer service.
