Senior QA Lead Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to spearhead the development and execution of QA strategies and plans for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective QA strategies and plans for our products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test environments.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects outside of test cases.
  • Deploy microservices applications in the engineering environment.
  • Support the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team in deploying production releases.
  • Improve processes for test plan reviews and ensure thoroughness of test scenarios.
  • Assist in troubleshooting customer issues and providing root cause analysis.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in functional and automated testing of SAAS products and leading teams.
  • Experience on public or private cloud platforms.
  • Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation of multi-tier enterprise and/or cloud-based SaaS applications.
  • Experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience in functional UI and API automation.
  • Linux knowledge is essential.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and Oracle DB is a plus.
