About this Role
We're seeking an accomplished Search/Information Retrieval Engineer to design, develop, and fine-tune search applications that meet high standards of relevancy, performance, and user experience. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing innovative search functionality using modern search technologies such as Elasticsearch or Solr, developing scalable search applications, creating and optimizing search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods, crafting Knowledge Graphs from various corporate data sources, and more.

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you'll need a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field, at least 5 years of experience, 3+ years of experience developing search solutions, proficiency in one programming language (Java, Python, etc.), hands-on experience with search engines, and a strong understanding of information retrieval concepts.

Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science or related field, knowledge of modern neural search techniques, experience with Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG and related infrastructure, familiarity with relevance evaluation metrics, and experience with large-scale distributed systems are preferred.

Technical Skills
Familiarity with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr), programming languages (Java, Python), and databases (SQL, MongoDB) is required. Additionally, strong communication abilities to explain technical concepts, a collaborative mindset, detail-oriented approach, self-motivation, and passion for solving complex search problems are essential.
