Job Opportunity: IT Leadership Role

The university seeks an experienced Senior Executive to lead the Information Technology Department, overseeing daily operations, technical support, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically oversee IT operations, ensuring seamless delivery of technology services and infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues, addressing faculty, staff, and student needs promptly.
  • Manage day-to-day IT tasks and user requests, guaranteeing timely and effective resolution.
  • Implement and manage software deployment, updates, and patching across the university's systems.
Infrastructure Management
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of wired and wireless networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure robust security measures are in place.
  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, ensuring business continuity.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery operations to prevent service disruptions.
Software Administration
  • Administer and support key university applications, including Learning Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Student Information Systems, and other academic/administrative software.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online for email services.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms.
Cybersecurity
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard university data and systems from threats.
  • Monitor security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents proactively.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness among university users through training and education.

Experience with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies is beneficial.

Ideal candidates possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
