Migrate from Barracuda Spam Firewall to Microsoft Defender for a Seamless Transition

The goal of this project is to ensure all mail flow rules, security policies, and configurations are properly retired.

A skilled specialist will be responsible for decommissioning the existing email security firewall and implementing Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the retirement of the email security gateway.
  • Deploy and configure anti-phishing, anti-malware, and threat investigation tools.
  • Ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
  • Document the migration process and provide technical knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to align configurations with organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mail flow, filtering, and user access during and after the migration.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with email security platforms and Microsoft 365 security tools.
  • Strong knowledge of secure email protocols, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and threat detection tools.
  • Experience managing or supporting email migration projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
