Key Job Description

We are looking for a driven and result-oriented Senior Manager / Key Account Manager to lead business development efforts for IT and security solutions within the Government sector.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Activities: Own and manage end-to-end sales activities for Government accounts across central/state departments, police, and public sector bodies.
  • Demand Generation: Drive demand generation for enterprise IT, security, and fraud prevention solutions.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and nurture opportunities through direct engagement, tenders, and empanelment processes.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in government and PSU sectors.
  • Proposal Development: Lead proposal development, presentations, and budgetary discussions tailored to customer pain points.
  • Solution Alignment: Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure solution alignment with client needs.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and timely closure of deals.
  • Post-Sales Engagement: Ensure post-sales account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and sustained engagement.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated with relevant government schemes, digital transformation projects, and procurement guidelines.

Requirements & Skills

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech or equivalent from a reputed institution.
  • Experience:
  • B2G IT Sales Experience: Minimum 8+ years of B2G (Business-to-Government) IT sales experience.
  • Sales Success: Proven success in selling IT/software/security solutions to Government/PSU clients.
  • Tendering Process: Strong understanding of tendering, GeM, rate contract, and bid submission processes.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Account Management: Ability to independently manage key accounts and drive business across complex hierarchies.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to client locations and government departments.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • GovTech Experience: Prior experience in GovTech, e-Governance, cybersecurity, or fraud prevention solution sales.
  • Government IT Budgets: Understanding of Government IT budgets and procurement patterns.
