Job Title: Export Logistics Manager

The role of an Export Logistics Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of export shipments. The individual in this position will be responsible for coordinating with sales teams, planning shipments according to customer needs, and monitoring daily stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipment Planning: Coordinate with sales teams to plan shipments based on customer requirements, taking into account factors such as lead time, mode of transport, and packaging requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor daily stock levels and create daily invoicing plans accordingly, ensuring that shipments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare pre-export and post-export documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing sites, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers to ensure seamless shipment movement and timely delivery.
  • Negotiation and Cost Optimization: Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and ensure cost-effective shipping options, considering factors such as fuel surcharges, insurance premiums, and customs duties.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Inform customers about shipment details, verify post-shipment documents within stipulated time frames, and handle customer queries and resolve audit-related issues efficiently.
  • Logistics Management: Manage LCL and FCL shipments, including preparation of Letter of Credit documents, ERP system management, and liaison with shipping companies and customs brokers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in export logistics coordination at an executive level.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
