Utility Network Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Utility Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the effective operation and maintenance of diverse client GIS operations built on the ArcGIS platform and deployed in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in ArcGIS Enterprise administration, including implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting. A good understanding of Linux in cloud environments, hands-on experience with the ArcGIS Platform, and proven expertise in resolving complex enterprise issues come handy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Solution Design: Engage directly with clients to conduct needs assessments, gather technical requirements, and design robust ArcGIS Utility Network solutions tailored to their specific business needs.
  • Turnkey Project Execution: Lead and execute all phases of Utility Network projects, from initial design and configuration to full implementation and deployment within client ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Architect and perform complex data migration from legacy GIS, CAD, and other systems into the Utility Network.
  • Managed Services & Administration: Provide ongoing remote administration, maintenance, and support for our clients' Utility Network deployments.
  • Technical Leadership & Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, provide expert-level user support, and develop advanced network analysis tools.
  • Pre-Sales & Scoping: Assist the business development team in technical pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience delivering solutions with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Proven project experience implementing Esri's Utility Network, including advanced data modeling, rule configuration, and subnetwork management.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
