Manufacturing Test Engineer Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Test Engineer is to design and develop manufacturing test flows for ASIC/SoC.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing test methodologies for ASIC/SoC to meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Expertise in one of the ATE platforms like Teradyne ETS800 / ETS88 / ETS364 / Advantest V93K, T2K is mandatory.
  • Work closely with cross-functional R&D teams to finalize manufacturing test requirements for each test phase, including pass/fail criteria.
  • Drive new product migration from R&D to high-volume manufacturing phase, support technical issues and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor product yield, test time, and DPPM, providing technical solutions for yield improvement, TTR, and DPPM reduction.

Key responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams, representing Product Engineering in various forums, and executing design-of-experiments with process window corner lot to establish spec compliance.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 2-12 years in electronics and/or semiconductors.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (testers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers).
  • Knowledge of IC test methodologies, system testing, and communication protocols.
  • Good understanding of software programs written in C, C++, C#, and ability to step through code if required.
  • Able to work comfortably with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Successful candidates must be self-motivated and self-directed, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse team environment.
