Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Automation Engineer Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in driving quality delivery for Evernorth program deliverables. This position will focus on addressing automation and security testing needs of Mdlive systems and collaborate with key Technology Services teams and business functions to ensure initiatives are aligned with business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation framework and testing of software products
  • Define test processes, including required test activities, deliverables, and test schedules
  • Closely interact with onsite and offshore team members, including scrum team members, developers, product owners, and QA specialists
  • Define test data conditions and partner with data teams to obtain necessary data
  • Actively participate in all phases of testing, including sprint functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing
  • Develop and execute comprehensive suites of automation test plans, test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of tool sets to augment QA and development testing
  • Business requirement analysis, test design, defect logging, and tracking
  • Perform manual/exploratory testing where needed
  • Actively engage in defect reporting and triaging
  • Analyze failure patterns and determine corrective actions to eliminate errors completely
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with automation experience preferred
  • Experience with automation frameworks, including products such as Playwright/CodeceptJS, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including core concepts in Java, JavaScript, Typescript
  • Working experience with API automation frameworks, including mocking, authorization
  • Thorough knowledge of quality engineering best practices and applying them to automation frameworks
  • Experience designing and developing scripts to run automated tests to ensure consistency, repeatability, and accelerate delivery
  • Understanding of application architecture for web-based and mobile applications
  • Experience with Docker, containers, and images
  • Experience in API and UI automation (Selenium WebDriver/Cypress)
  • Experience with Git-based source control tools like GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/Gitlab for automated test executions
  • Experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle
  • Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS), SQL, NoSQL, backend testing
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman/Insomnia
  • Working experience with JIRA/Zephyr or equivalent tools
Preferred Experience:
  • Healthcare domain knowledge would be beneficial
  • AWS and Cucumber (BDD) experience
  • Familiarity with reporting/testing tools like Browser Stack/Report Portal
  • Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience using APM tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic & Splunk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills, highly organized, self-motivated, and a quick learner
  • Strong communications skills

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
