Aerospace technology company seeks a detail-oriented professional to coordinate building information modeling (BIM) processes.

  • BIM Coordinator job description:
  • Review and analyze 3D models from consultants and contractors for accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage software
  • Manage views, automated grouped clashes, and BIM track settings for Navisworks
  • Display clashes in Navisworks models with sectioning filters for better visualization
  • Synchronize clash status and publish models to Viewer from Navisworks
  • Convert clashes to issues with different properties/attributes and publish as multiple batches
  • Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit software
  • Perform early design review and constructability analysis
  • Manage and update BIM project documents
  • Extract and verify 3D model quantities
  • Create 4D scheduling/simulation using Autodesk Navisworks
  • Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members

Requirements:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, hardworking individual able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in BIM Track issue creation, Navisworks Viewpoint creation expertise, and Autodesk Revit, Navisworks & AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of integrated features of BIM Track for Navisworks and basic construction processes/procedures
  • Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years of work experience
  • BIM knowledge and interest in working with construction technology
