About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Procurement Expert to join our team at MAHLE. As a Sub-Project Leader, you will play a critical role in achieving purchasing targets, realizing new projects, and driving commodity strategies forward.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive purchasing target achievement through effective coordination and leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with MAHLE's global approach.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on commercial and technical criteria.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure quality compliance.
  • Conduct site visits, meetings, and facilitate international travel as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including project documentation and metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in purchasing motor, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Proven track record of success in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to read technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality and manufacturing tools, such as S.P.C., Pokayoke, Pareto Analysis, and Cause-Effect Analysis.
  • Specialized skills in strategic planning, risk analysis, effective research methods, benchmarking, and understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions.
  • Experience with lean and VA/VE activities.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, manufacturing processes, commodity markets, and futures.
