Senior Technology Visionary

Job Description

• Define and refine the technology product vision, roadmap, and strategy in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
• Translate the product vision into actionable tasks by managing the product backlog and prioritizing user stories. Work closely with product, engineering, UX/UI, and business teams to break down high-level features into well-defined, clear, and technically feasible user stories.
• Collect, analyze, and document technical requirements from business teams and customers to create technical specifications for development teams.
• Understand the product outcome, benefits to customers, market, and business, as well as agile development processes and organizational ways of working.
• Lead the product definition in collaboration with the scrum master, development team (UI/UX, architecture, engineering, business analyst), and other relevant inputs that may affect the scope of the product.
• Owns and facilitates features and user story refinement and planning sessions.
• Manages the team product backlog and prioritization of user stories, ensuring the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all.
• Ensure the team is focused on developing deliverables that provide optimum value for the user and business.
• Approve product increments during sprint reviews and acceptance of final iteration plans.
• Accountable for defining done and acceptance.
• Leads the product development team(s) and guides implementation.
• Responsible for the team vision, product roadmap, and release plan in close collaboration with other relevant teams and the Agile Release Train.
• Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Engage actively with engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are met. Participate in sprint ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and regularly.
• Ensure products meet required technical standards and business requirements through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize pricing solutions and experiences, keeping customer and store team members in mind.
• Define product release schedules in coordination with stakeholders and development teams, ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams to improve processes, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Product owner, Technical Product Owner, or Technical Business Analyst.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, cloud platforms, and systems architecture. Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures is beneficial.
• Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies Scrum, Kanban, and development tools Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to review, analyze, prioritize competing items, challenges, and dependencies.
• Collaboration skills with experience in relation building, conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus building. Experience with stakeholder and vendor management.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring highly performant engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of the retail industry and pricing domain is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or related field.
