Legal Manager Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to oversee all aspects of our organization's legal affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including contracts, NDAs, MoUs, vendor agreements, service contracts, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, lease deeds, and joint venture agreements.

Contract Management & Negotiation

  • Provide expert legal input during tender/bid preparation and contract finalization stages.
  • Interpret complex contract clauses and advise business teams on contractual rights, obligations, and liabilities.
  • Flag contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure company-wide compliance with relevant statutory laws, including labour laws, companies act, contract act, and environmental laws.
  • Maintain accurate legal risk registers and proactively highlight high-risk matters to management.
  • Monitor and update changes in laws and regulations impacting business operations.

Litigation Coordination

  • Coordinate with external legal counsel for civil, criminal, arbitration, and statutory cases.
  • Handle pre-litigation notices, consumer complaints, and other dispute matters.
  • Maintain litigation management information systems and track case progress to ensure timely closure.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, procurement, human resources, projects, and business development.
  • Regularly report updates, risks, and key legal issues to senior management.

Strategic Legal Advice

  • Provide informed strategic legal advice to the executive team and other departments on a wide range of issues.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations.

Corporate Governance

  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including board materials, corporate filings, and record management.

Labour Law Expertise

  • Advise on employment matters, including employee contracts, disputes, labour law compliance, and company policies.

Mergers & Acquisitions Support

  • Support the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic business initiatives.

Policy Development & Training

  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives.
