Automation Test Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled candidate to join our QA team.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java programming for test automation, proficiency in automation frameworks, and hands-on experience with Mobile Testing (Android & iOS).

The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts for Android and iOS apps using Java-based automation frameworks (Appium, TestNG/JUnit).

They will execute and manage automation tests across multiple applications simultaneously, perform API testing to validate backend services and data integrity, and contribute to Web automation testing for admin, restaurant, and partner portals.

The Automation Test Engineer will also integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.), use Docker containers for test environment setup, parallel execution, and scalability, and collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test coverage, ensure feature readiness, and troubleshoot defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS apps using Java-based automation frameworks (Appium, TestNG/JUnit).
  • Execute and manage automation tests across multiple applications (Customer & Driver apps) simultaneously.
  • Perform API testing to validate backend services and data integrity.
  • Contribute to Web automation testing for admin, restaurant, and partner portals.
  • Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Use Docker containers for test environment setup, parallel execution, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to define test coverage, ensure feature readiness, and troubleshoot defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Java programming for test automation.
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks (Appium, intelliJ, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Mobile Testing (Android & iOS).
  • Experience in API Testing (Postman, REST Assured).
  • Knowledge of Web Testing (Selenium/WebDriver).
  • Experience with Docker for scalable test execution.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based test environments like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack.
