Job Title: IT Project Governance Specialist

The IT Project Governance Specialist will be responsible for defining and implementing effective project governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

This role involves collaborating with senior leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.

The specialist will also oversee cross-functional IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitoring costs.

Additional responsibilities include tracking progress, achieving milestones, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

IT budgets and resource allocation will be managed effectively, and dashboards, MIS reports, and project status updates will be developed for senior leadership.

Best practices in change management will be implemented to facilitate smooth adoption of IT solutions.

Vendor management and service-level agreement adherence will be ensured, and continuous refinement of IT project methodologies will be introduced through industry best practices.

Effective resource management, including capacity planning and conflict resolution, will be maintained. Structured product documentation will be maintained for third-party stakeholders.

Business analysis will be conducted to identify problems, opportunities, and solutions. Requirements will be gathered, process flows mapped, and business use cases documented.

Business requirements will be simplified and communicated to ensure stakeholder alignment. Change proposals will be assessed, and actionable solutions defined.

Change management/training plans will be prepared in collaboration with training teams, and business process modelling will be conducted. Scenarios will be prepared for technology testing, and system integration will be managed from requirement gathering to deployment.

Technical details will be communicated to non-IT stakeholders, and functional details to IT teams.

  • Expertise in IT project planning, execution, monitoring, controls, and governance.
  • Strong ability in data quantification and analytics.
  • Designing KPI-driven metrics for IT projects and measuring ROI, risks, delinquency, and early warning signals.
  • Budgeting, planning, forecasting, monitoring, and cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for IT projects.
  • Designing corporate presentations and demos for investors and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to organisational requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with consultative and interpersonal abilities.
  • Deep understanding of RBI guidelines, NBFC IT regulations, and security policies.
  • Familiarity with CBS/CFSS, ERP (SAP, Dynamics 365), Loan Origination Systems (LOS), CRM platforms, APIs, Middleware, Finance ERP, Customer Apps, UI/UX, Digital Lending, Payment Systems, and IT infrastructure/application architecture.
  • Risk and dependency assessment with effective mitigation planning.
  • Project management experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project tracking tools (JIRA, MS Project).
  • Strong cost monitoring and IT expense management skills.
  • Ability to structure and document problems into analytical frameworks.
  • Skilled in SQL, Excel, and business requirement documentation (FSD, HLD, LLD, Use Cases).
