Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Science Solutions Specialist to join our team and support the development of data-driven solutions for a leading e-commerce platform in the life sciences sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and experience with distributed data processing frameworks, cloud-based platforms, and machine learning. They will be responsible for designing and developing user-friendly internal tools and interfaces, as well as ensuring data quality and reliability across systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key role in shaping the future of our data infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with data scientists and product managers to support model development and experimentation, and will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL pipelines for pricing, shipping, and behavioral datasets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data transformation and aggregation, as well as experience with experimentation systems and monitoring infrastructure. They will also be familiar with MLOps and have a good understanding of domain-specific knowledge in e-commerce, preferably in the pharmaceutical or scientific supply sector.

Requirements
  • Flexibility in working with young, startup-like environments
  • Ability to onboard immediately
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed data processing frameworks
  • Strong Python and SQL expertise; experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop user-friendly internal tools or interfaces
  • Familiarity with experimentation systems and monitoring infrastructure
  • Experience handling large-scale, high-dimensional datasets efficiently
  • Experience with MLOps is preferred
  • Domain experience in e-commerce is preferred; knowledge of the pharmaceutical or scientific supply sector is a strong advantage
