Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Communications & Narrative Development: Develop compelling communication strategies and narratives for campaigns.
  • Digital Strategy & Advertising: Oversee digital advertising strategy and execution using analytics to optimize performance.
  • Content Ideation & Oversight: Build and lead a team to produce engaging content, including Shorts and long-form videos.
  • Channel Growth & SEO: Drive subscriber growth by optimizing videos for the YouTube algorithm and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Audience Analytics: Analyze YouTube Studio analytics to understand audience retention and demographics.
  • Content Innovation: Stay ahead of YouTube trends, experiment with new formats, and analyze competitor channels.
  • Crisis Communication Preparedness: Develop crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring timely response management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external agencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Political Acumen: Deep understanding of Indian politics, history, socio-economic issues, and current affairs.
  • Professional Experience: 8-10 years in communications, video production, or channel management, ideally in media, PR/communications agency, public affairs, or a political/advocacy setting, with success in growing and managing a significant YouTube channel.
  • YouTube Expertise: Expertise on all things YouTube, with a deep understanding of the algorithm, content strategy, and SEO.
  • Video Storytelling: Ability to craft compelling political narratives for video, from scripting to guiding the final edit.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing workflows, creative teams, and project timelines.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in fast-paced environments, with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Proactive Approach: Willingness to roll up one's sleeves and get work done, even outside the direct scope of the job.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with Analytics Tools: Understanding of YouTube Studio is essential.
