Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the development and scaling of enterprise-grade data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and implementing robust data pipelines, with expertise in ETL, Cloud, Data Warehousing, and Big Data ecosystems.

  • Data Pipeline Design and Optimization: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Airflow, Databricks, StreamSets, and Snowflake.
  • Cloud and Big Data Solutions: Architect robust platforms with AWS (Redshift, Lambda, S3, Athena) and leverage Spark, Kafka, Hive for processing.
  • Data Modeling and Governance: Develop and implement robust schemas, ensure compliance, and enforce security best practices.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with analysts and data scientists, and act as a technical architect in solution delivery.
  • Performance and Security: Optimize queries, implement role-based access control & IAM, and ensure disaster recovery/high availability standards.
Requirements
  • Tech Stack Expertise:
  • Programming: Python (primary), SQL (expert), Java (good-to-have)
  • Platforms: AWS (Glue, Redshift, RDS, Lambda, S3), Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Kafka
  • Tools: Airflow, StreamSets, DBT
  • Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Hive, HBase
  • Strong experience in data modeling, governance, and compliance.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery and enterprise data integration.
