Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

Overview:

Our organization requires a highly skilled inventory management professional to oversee all aspects of inventory control and warehouse management across multiple locations. This is a dynamic role that involves monitoring daily inventory levels, identifying and resolving stock issues such as shortages, near expiry, damages, non-moving SKUs, and excess inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Tracking: Supervise the monitoring of daily inventory levels and ensure timely reconciliation with system records.
  • Warehouse Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatching, ensuring adherence to defined time-standards for B2B and B2C orders.
  • Physical Inventory Audits: Conduct regular and surprise stock audits at the main warehouse and 3PL locations, reconciling physical counts with system records and promptly resolving discrepancies.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze inventory movement data to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage and validate monthly billing data related to warehousing, storage, and handling.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and interpret reports on GRN delivery times, stock accuracy, replenishment performance, and non-moving inventory, sharing insights with relevant stakeholders to support business decisions.
  • Packaging Management: Plan and place purchase orders for packaging materials, ensuring timely replenishment of packaging stocks across all warehouses.
  • Compliance: Enforce compliance with quality control, inventory policies, and regulatory standards related to product handling, storage, and traceability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory management within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, preferably ERP, WMS, and Unicommerce.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with lean inventory practices and Just-in-Time (JIT) methodology is an asset.
