Healthcare Communications Marketing Role

About The Opportunity

This is a major role in leading integrated communications marketing campaigns, partnering with colleagues to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a degree in fields related to medicine, biotechnology, pharma, bio sciences, life sciences, with 4-5 years of progressive experience in communications marketing in the health sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate, earning trust to deliver day-to-day work and provide proactive counsel on new approaches or ideas that help meet clients' objectives.
  • Media relations, including story and message development, creating and driving outreach plans, speaking to journalists regularly to secure national media coverage briefings with senior editors and correspondents, briefing spokespeople, and ongoing development of own media contacts.
  • Playing a key role in research, planning, and development of campaigns and driving these forward. Understanding of the earned, owned, paid, and social media space and how to incorporate these channels into client plans for holistic communications programmes.

The ideal candidate should be able to service multiple clients, work in a matrix structure, and prioritise deliverables. They should also be able to balance quick hits and longer-term strategy, manage both up and down, and take overall responsibility of day-to-day client deliverables. Experience of integrating with different teams and practices, ability to work collaboratively with a variety of people to meet client expectations, interest in current affairs, news, international business - related to medicine, healthcare.

As a communications marketer in this role, you will play a significant part in shaping the company's messaging and developing strong relationships with clients. You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Your attention to detail, creative approach, and excellent communication skills will enable you to excel in this challenging yet rewarding position.
