Property Accountant - Real Estate Specialist

Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to manage financial operations, provide analytical insights, and support property management teams.

  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights for financial planning.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the real estate industry.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with property management teams to provide financial insights and support for property operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:- 5+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with US/UK accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata).
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to interpret financial data, generate meaningful reports, and convey complex information effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of real estate accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
