About the Role

Are you ready to lead a high-performing team and drive the technical strategy of our cybersecurity platform?

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll build and scale an engineering team, own end-to-end execution, and lay the foundation for product and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company objectives
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team, hiring and mentoring talent
  • Drive the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track engineering KPIs for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards

We are looking for someone who can stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring in the right innovations at the right time.

Success in the First 12 Months
  • Build and scale an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers
  • Deliver the MVP release of our product and set the roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Establish secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Define and document engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management (team building, delivery)
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products (cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance preferred)
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
