Indirect Tax Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Indirect Tax professional to join our team. As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of GST related assignments, including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, GST audit, departmental audits and scrutiny.

  • Manage GST related assignments, including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, GST audit, departmental audits and scrutiny.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of other Indirect Taxes Laws viz. Service Tax & VAT Laws and possess good practical experience in handling compliances and litigations.
  • Prepare submissions/replies to various tax notices, show cause notices, draft appeals, etc.
  • Represent before revenue authorities such as Commissioner/Commissioner (Appeal) concerning EA 2000 audit, CERA audit and DGCEI Investigations, Scrutiny, Assessment, Refund etc.
  • Develop strong client relationships by responding promptly to inquiries, resolving issues within agreed timelines, and working closely with our support team to ensure that client needs are met.
  • Ensure the timely execution of deliverables, both technical and non-technical.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Offer consultation on GST matters to clients, including providing insights on tax implications related to new business deals and other relevant scenarios.
Desired Qualification & Experience:
  • CA/Lawyer with 5-6 years working experience specifically in Indirect tax domain.
  • Hands-on experience for complex GST technical review and advisory.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others.
  • Independent in managing own workload with limited available resource, ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Working knowledge of ERP package viz. Tally, MS Office etc.
  • Hands on with advanced MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Business Development skills.
