Strategic Communications Leader

The Account Director Public Relations plays a pivotal role in spearheading the team's efforts to craft and execute innovative, results-driven communication strategies for clients.

This key leadership position requires a deep understanding of integrated communications, stakeholder management, and business development. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional leadership skills, drive strategic thinking, and excel in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and client CXOs.

  • Maintain and grow client relationships at operational and leadership levels through regular strategic and digital advocacy.
  • Translate overall strategies into actionable tactical plans and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop award-winning ideas to drive results and brand influence for clients.
  • Build/improve relationship with senior journalists and influencers.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of a national media universe for all clients.
  • Guide team members in tracking news trends and proactively pitching stories.
  • Drive new business opportunities by participating in and leading client pitches.
  • Direct client retention and improvement of Client Satisfaction Score & servicing cost management.
  • Coach and develop a team of highly engaged individuals.
  • Promote a positive work environment and address team conflicts effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

A Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/PR/Journalism or an MBA in Marketing is required. 10-13 years' experience in a PR Agency is preferred. A strong track record in leading high-performing teams is essential for this role.
