Job Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Database Developer to design, develop and implement scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Design & Development:
    • Translate data requirements into efficient database designs collaborating with application development teams.
    • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams for large-scale databases.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization:
    • Optimize complex SQL queries and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in MySQL and MS SQL.
    • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques for efficient database performance.
  • Database Administration & Maintenance:
    • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for databases.
    • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Data Integration & ETL:
    • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration:
    • Provide technical guidance to junior developers on database design and administration tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6–7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer with expertise in MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with performance tuning, large-scale database optimization, and database administration tasks.
