Packaging Manager Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Packaging Manager to lead the development of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging solutions for new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packaging Development
    • Lead packaging development from concept to commercialization for all new product launches
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Design, Procurement, Manufacturing) to define packaging requirements
    • Translate product briefs into packaging strategies that meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory needs
  • Innovation & Design
    • Drive innovation in materials, formats, and technologies to improve sustainability, user experience, and shelf impact
    • Evaluate and implement emerging packaging trends and technologies
    • Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of new packaging designs
  • Project Management
    • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for packaging development projects
    • Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
    • Maintain documentation and specifications for all packaging components
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure packaging meets all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
    • Conduct risk assessments and quality checks during development and production phases
    • Support audits and certifications related to packaging processes
  • Sustainability & Cost Optimization
    • Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact through material selection and design
    • Optimize packaging for logistics, storage, and cost efficiency without compromising quality
