About the Role
Applied Materials is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Litigation Center of Excellence (COE) in India. As a key member of our Global Litigation & Investigations Team, you will play a critical role in supporting active litigation and investigation matters, including fact development, issue assessments, eDiscovery, and document review.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investigation and litigation matters, including initial fact development, issue assessments, leading eDiscovery and document review efforts, conducting interviews, and preparing summary memoranda.
- Meet or exceed KPI, productivity, and service level standards set for the Litigation COE.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of operating playbooks, intake procedures, and workflow management to maximize the efficiency and productivity of the Litigation COE.
Requirements
- LL.B. / LL.M. degree from a reputable and BCI-accredited law institute in India or an international equivalent.
- 8+ years of litigation and investigations support experience at a top-tier law firm, professional consulting or managed services firm, or in-house at a multi-national company, particularly experience supporting government inquiries and regulatory investigations, white-collar, and complex commercial disputes.
- Experience in conducting internal investigations, fact development, witness interviews, and early case assessments.
- Expertise in eDiscovery and document review best practices and hands-on experience with major review platforms.
- Understanding of computer and digital forensics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and impeccable integrity.
- Collaborative by nature and able to build strong partnerships.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, global environment and able to manage and prioritize a diverse and complex workload.
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently and within a team to achieve desired objectives.
Bonus Qualifications
- Substantive trial, arbitration, and/or adversarial administrative proceeding experience.
- Previous in-house experience, preferably at a technology company with global operations.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
