Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler/Staff Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data architectures and logical/physical data models for databases and data warehouses.

This role reports into the Sr Manager/Director and is based in Bengaluru. As a Data Modeler at our organization, you will work closely with the Product Management group, internal stakeholders, and the Engineering group to create data architectures and logical/physical data models for databases and data warehouses.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing a data warehouse to integrate data from various sources/systems within an organization.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or 10 years and a Master's degree in Computer or Software Engineering.

They will also have demonstrated strength in examining issues, driving resolution, and influencing effectively across the organization.

Addtionally they will have superb interpersonal and communication skills, as well as 3+ years of leading data engineering teams in Consumer/Healthcare Goods companies.

We are looking for a strong leader who can drive prioritization and implementation of the most appropriate combination of data engineering methodologies and frameworks to ensure optimal scalability, flexibility, and performance of platforms, products, and solutions.

As a thought leader, you will conduct requirements gathering and analysis to understand the domain of the software problem and/or functionality, the interfaces between hardware and software, and the overall software characteristics.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing enterprise-level and project-level data modeling, including model management, consolidation, and integration
  • Understanding business requirements and translating them to Conceptual (CDM), Logical (LDM), and Physical (PDM) data models using industry standards
  • Managing data models for multiple projects and ensuring data models are synchronized and adhere to Enterprise Architecture with proper change management
  • Establishing and managing existing standards for naming and abbreviation conventions, data definitions, ownership, documentation, procedures, and techniques
