Job Title

 

We are seeking a Public Policy Professional to join our team. As a member of our Public Policy department, you will be responsible for developing and executing policy initiatives and strategies that align with our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government policies, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with policymakers, regulators, and government stakeholders to advance policy objectives.
  • Lead advocacy efforts across industry associations, think tanks, and other collective forums to strengthen Airtel's position in sectoral policy debates.
  • Proactively identify new and emerging policy issues and develop well-researched policy positions and recommendations to address them.
  • Engage with think tanks, civil society organizations, and academia to shape important policy developments.
  • Advise internal teams on the regulatory implications of products and services while working with a cross-functional team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, or International Affairs.
  • Minimum 3 to 6 years' experience working with government, think tanks, public interest groups, or in corporate public policy.
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with industry associations and advocacy platforms.
  • Ability to review and evaluate legislation and technical policy documents.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
  • Understanding of telecom, technology, data privacy frameworks, and laws that impact digital businesses.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team across multiple tasks and locations.
  • Effective prioritization framework to focus on the right problems.
