Job Overview

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment and machinery used in nutraceutical manufacturing as per standard operating procedures.
  • Configure, calibrate, and adjust machines to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met during machine operations in line with Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.
  • Record machine operating data, production outputs, and downtime logs accurately.
  • Coordinate material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance as per requirements.
  • Report and escalate equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or abnormalities promptly.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment following Good Hygiene Practices and safety standards.
  • Assist during audits, inspections, and documentation verification.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in machinery operations within Nutraceuticals, Food Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals is required.
  • Hands-on experience with blending, granulation, encapsulation, filling, or packaging machines is necessary.
  • Exposure to food technology processes (mixing, drying, stability testing) is essential.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygienic practices.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Hygiene Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, and regulatory guidelines (FSSAI/ISO).
  • Ability to conduct and document in-process checks accurately.
  • Attention to detail, ownership, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, QA, and maintenance teams.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related fields is desirable.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 22000 is advantageous.
  • Experience in supporting product development or scale-up trials is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting is valuable.
