Event Host and Presenter

The role of an event host and presenter is a vital component in hosting, presenting, and facilitating various events, shows, and functions at our institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Hosting and Presenting:

  1. Serves as the official host for university events, conferences, workshops, seminars, cultural functions, sports events, and other programs.

  2. Delivers live commentary and engages with the audience to create a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

  3. Introduces speakers, dignitaries, and guests, ensuring a smooth transition between different segments of the event.

  4. Conducts interviews, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions when required.

  • Engages with the audience through interactive elements, ice-breakers, and informative segments.

  • Maintains an energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor to ensure the audience is continuously engaged.

  • Ensures all event timings are adhered to and manages transitions between segments.

  1. Works closely with the event team to understand the theme, objectives, and content of the event.

  2. Prepares scripts, speeches, and presentations in alignment with the event's tone and message.

  3. Researches relevant topics and information to provide accurate and engaging content.

  • Collaborates with event coordinators, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.

  • Provides feedback and suggestions to improve the flow of the event.

  1. Represents the institution in a positive, professional, and articulate manner during public interactions.

  2. Ensures that the institution's vision, values, and messages are consistently communicated during all events.

  • Assists in promoting events through social media platforms and institutional channels.

  • Records short video snippets, interviews, or highlights from the event for promotional use.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi is a plus).

  • Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Confident, dynamic, and energetic personality.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected situations during live events.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with media production and event management tools is a plus.
