Job Title:

Content Development Manager

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Content Development Manager to oversee the creative development, execution, and delivery of series projects across various formats.

  • The ideal candidate will execute content strategies for series projects that align with our audience preferences and brand values.
  • They will collaborate with external writers and directors to develop compelling, culturally relevant series scripts.
  • Additionally, they will work closely with marketing and analytics teams to ensure series performance aligns with strategic goals.
Content Development
  1. Lead the development process for web series, managing both individual writers and the Writer's Room.
  2. Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement to ensure scripts are culturally resonant and meet high quality standards.
  3. Work with writers and creative teams to develop series outlines, episode scripts, and season arcs.
Production Oversight
  1. Supervise the script development and production processes, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  2. Work closely with the production team to oversee the filming process.
Team Leadership
  1. Inspire and lead a team of producers, directors, and creative writing staff.
  2. Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Industry Networking
  1. Engage with internal departments to streamline production processes.
  2. Maintain and expand relationships with key industry players.
User and Market Research
  1. Conduct thorough audience research to understand preferences and trends.
  2. Organize pilot testing and focus groups to gather early feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in content management or a related role.
  • Must have experience in writing scripts and possess directorial experience.
  • Extensive experience in long format entertainment production from TV or OTT.
  • Strong understanding of human emotions, cinematic techniques, and audience preferences.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
