Accounting Professional Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in accounting and financial management.

Key responsibilities include performing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and company records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

Additionally, the successful candidate will process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, ensure timely posting of transactions in the accounting system, prepare and verify general ledger balances.

They will also assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, address any urgent financial or accounting queries as required, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for financial matters, and collaborate with the finance team for smooth financial operations.

Required skills and qualifications include strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and accounting principles, experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Unit4, Zoho, or SAP), proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools, knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS, and strong Excel skills.

Effective communication skills are also essential for this role. The accounting professional will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
