Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the implementation of a farm animal protection program across various states in India. The goal is to promote plant-based diets and cage-free egg procurement in hotels, restaurants, and cafes.

The ideal candidate will develop a comprehensive campaign strategy, expand the institutional outreach program, and conduct corporate roundtables on better animal welfare in food. They will also collaborate with chefs to promote plant-based menus and procurement of cage-free eggs.

Additionally, they will organize training workshops for chefs, students, and other stakeholders on plant-based cooking. They will work closely with the Manager, Institutional Engagement and Director, Farm Animal Protection to develop and document data on farm animal welfare.

Staff management skills are also essential for this role, including managing coordinators, developing team capacity, and guiding staff to meet departmental goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on farm animal protection issues and/or working with institutions through outreach programs
  • Management/supervisory experience preferred
