Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient operation of oil and gas facilities.

Detailed Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing instrument and control systems for various applications, including preparing and reviewing design deliverables, such as design basis, instrument index, and I/O list.

Additional responsibilities include hands-on experience with design calculations, instrument selection, preparation and review of procurement deliverables, and control system expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Instrument and Control Systems: Design and develop instrument and control systems for various applications.
  • Prepare and Review Design Deliverables: Prepare and review design deliverables, including design basis, instrument index, and I/O list.
  • Hands-On Experience: Hands-on experience with design calculations, instrument sizing, control valve sizing, flow meter sizing, safety valve sizing, air and power consumption calculations, intrinsic safety validation calculation, and thermowell wake frequency calculations.
  • Instrument Selection: Instrument selection, including all types of field instruments and exposure to selection of instruments and systems for hazardous areas.
  • Control System Expertise: Control system expertise, including DCS, ESD (SIS), PLCs, package control systems, and fire and gas systems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and knowledge of instrument and control systems.
  • Communication and Management: Good communication and mid-level managerial skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in software packages, such as SPI (In tools) and InstruCalc/CONVAL.
