The role of a Procurement Manager involves overseeing the procurement process, including Mechanical & Electrical Packages. This includes managing internal stakeholders such as project managers and department heads to understand their procurement needs and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Process: Responsible for managing the P2P Cycle of Procurement, including Mechanical & Electrical Packages, from issuing RFQs/RFPs to evaluating responses and preparing comparisons.
- Tendering Process: Manage the entire tendering process for Mechanical & Electrical Packages.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on factors such as price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to make informed tender support and purchasing decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering - Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical Engineering with 6-7 years experience
Experience:
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
Skills:
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with vendors
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of SAP-MM Module, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
