Job Title: Cloud Architect

A cloud architect is a strategic and technical professional who designs, builds, and maintains the architecture of an organization's cloud infrastructure. As a cloud architect, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our company's technology landscape.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, including AWS services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, ALB, Auto Scaling, and Redis. They will also have experience with Terraform, AWS Lambda (Python3 + Boto3), and automation scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Cloud Architectures: Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures using AWS services.
  • Architect Application Hosting and Deployment Strategies: Architect and guide application hosting and deployment strategies to ensure seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.
  • Establish Security Standards: Establish and enforce security standards, including secure hardening guidelines, CIS benchmarks, and STIG compliance.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with security, development, and DevOps teams to embed security throughout the infrastructure.
  • Create Infrastructure-as-Code: Create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
  • Provide Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership in infrastructure modernization and automation practices.
  • Ensure Compliance: Work with compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services and networking (VPC, IAM, Security Groups, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS Lambda (Python3 + Boto3), and automation scripting.
  • Experience defining and implementing cloud security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, threat detection, and security audits.
  • Familiarity with secure deployment and hardening practices (CIS, STIG, etc.).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
