Job Title: Data Science Strategist

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Data Science Manager to lead our team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, or applied mathematics. They must have strong programming skills in Python, with experience working with popular frameworks like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.

Awareness of the evolution history of NLP, from traditional language models to modern large language models, is also required. The candidate should be comfortable interpreting research papers and architecture diagrams of language models.

For predictive modeling experience in Python, including time series, multivariable, and causal models, is essential. Experience applying various machine learning techniques and understanding key parameters that affect their performance is necessary.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this position. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists to carry out activities such as connecting with internal/external stakeholders, creating project plans, and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality through proactive checks and resolve gaps.
  • Carry out EDA, feature engineering, and define performance metrics prior to running relevant ML/DL algorithms.
  • Research similar solutions before building ML models.
  • Create optimized data models to query relevant data efficiently.
  • Run ML/DL algorithms for business goals, optimize and validate these models, and create light applications and simulators to help business consume end outputs.
  • Document project artifacts, log failures and exceptions, and measure impact on business metrics.
