About the Role

Our organization seeks a skilled professional to fill the position of Higher Education Director, responsible for leading our Higher Education Committee and Taskforces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thought Leadership/Policy Advocacy: Develop strategic partnerships with university leaders, multilateral, and bilateral organizations in higher education. Engage with regulatory bodies and proactively contribute to FICCI reports and policy documents.
  • Committee Management: Conduct periodic committee meetings, develop agendas, prepare minutes, and work with task forces to address specific sectoral issues. Mobilize new members and manage membership engagement activities.
  • Event Management: Organize and manage the annual global FICCI Higher Education Summit, including designing conference programs, identifying national/international partners, and generating revenue through sponsorship and delegate participation.
  • Project Execution: Identify and execute projects in industry-academia engagement, reconnect with FICCI's NKFH partners, and initiate activities based on the NKFH framework. Engage with World Bank/global agencies and explore joint projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of higher education policies and practices, experience in managing events and projects, and a proven track record of thought leadership and policy advocacy.
