Job Opportunity:

Advanced Physics Researcher

We are seeking skilled professionals with strong backgrounds in physics and analytical skills to contribute to the fine-tuning and evaluation of large language models.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To improve the understanding and solving complex physics problems, including mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum theory.
  • Contributing to research-focused initiatives by completing tasks such as analyzing electron trajectories in magnetic fields, high-energy pion decays, and model weaknesses.

Candidate Profile:

  • A PhD or Postdoc in Physics, Applied Physics, or related fields is required.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve advanced physics problems with clear reasoning.
  • Effective communication skills to explain complex topics and provide feedback.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and participate in team discussions.
  • Access to a reliable computer and internet setup for remote assignments.

Time Commitment & Contract Details:

  • Commitments Required: 4 hours/day and 20 hours/week with 4 hours of overlap with PST (we have 3 options: 20 hrs/week, 30 hrs/week, or 40 hrs/week)
  • Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave)
  • Duration of contract: 1 month; expected start date next week.
  • Selection Process: Task-based assessment followed by a contract offer with defined timelines and workload.
