Job Opportunity

As a PCB Design Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in designing and optimizing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) to meet high-performance requirements.

  • Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics to ensure accurate design implementation.
  • Generate detailed fabrication drawings of PCBs and Gerber files to support manufacturing processes.
  • Create hardware design documents that cover design analysis, notes, and guidelines for PCB development.
  • Design and develop high-performance/bandwidth PCBs using industry-standard tools such as KiCAD, ISIS, ARES, Allegro, or similar software.
  • Perform PCB layout for analog, digital, and RF circuit boards, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, and safety considerations.
  • Be responsible for transferring schematic net-list designs into physical PCB designs, considering signal integrity, power integrity, ID, and mechanical integrity.
  • Manage and create PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Coordinate and approve PCB layouts, ensuring adherence to manufacturing industry standards and end-user usability requirements.
  • Prepare BOM and fabrication documentation, following revision control procedures.
  • Bring up and test PCBs and auxiliary electronics to ensure functionality and reliability.
Qualifications

A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, design, electronics engineering, embedded system engineering, ECE, or ETC is required.

Preferred Skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in using two or more PCB designing tools from the list mentioned above.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as KiCAD, ISIS, ARES, Allegro, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments, including ability to resolve issues arising from these.
  • Excellent knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design fundamentals.
  • Strong logic/board debug and analytical skills.
