Senior Cyber Security Operations Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Operations and Incident Response professional to lead our security efforts. The successful candidate will oversee both local and remote team members, leveraging their expertise to manage daily security monitoring and investigation tasks, as well as lead the response to security incidents.
About the Role:- This role is responsible for reviewing proposed change requests to rules or policies for firewalls, router access control lists, IPS, and proxies.
- The ideal candidate will perform regular reviews or audits of deployed rulesets to identify drift from baseline.
- They will perform real-time security monitoring for potential cybersecurity threats.
- Analysis of alerts and coordination of responses with senior analysts is also required.
- Triage of potential security incidents in accordance with SOC case handling procedures, alert handling procedures, and customer-specific procedures.
- This position involves continuous improvements on services by identifying and correcting problems and gaps in knowledge and document materials.
- The successful candidate will have knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP).
- Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, network IDS/IPS Solutions, network monitoring solutions, switch/router ACLs, network access control solutions, web application firewalls, proxy servers and secure web gateway.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies is essential.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems and working knowledge of shell/bash/python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A minimum of 3 years professional experience working with enterprise network solutions is required.
- CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or Network+ certification is necessary.
